Age: 42Pink Heels Services: Business Coaching/Consulting
What inspired you to start your woman-owned business?
My love for yoga and my kids inspired me to start Yoga Balance. It was an opportunity to share the benefits of yoga with others while giving me the flexibility in my work schedule as a single parent to care for my children.
What were your primary goals when you started working with Pink Heels?
My primary goal was to take our business to the next level. After five years in business I was looking for a mentor that could help find ways to expand our services to the community and financial profitability.
What goal are you most proud of that you accomplished while working with Pink Heels?
I am continuing to gain more clarity and positive momentum in areas related to new workshops/retreats, internet marketing, website improvements, branding, location expansion and my own personal commitment to the practice of yoga.
What have you learned about yourself?
I need to be clear on my intentions and goals personally, professionally and in my business so that I live and communicate authentically. People and things come along with me when I can stay focused on the point of my intentions for sharing the virtues of yoga with my self, family and community.
What is the name of your new small business that is ‘Up & Running?’

Today, more people are employed by women-owned businesses domestically in the US than were employed by all Fortune 500 corporations worldwide. (source: Megatrends for Women by Pat Auburdeen)
My two favorite quotes:
